A television picture of Alexei Leonov performing the first ever spacewalk. Good quality pictures from Leonov's walk outside the Voskhod 2 vehicle are not available because the camera mounted on the outside of Voskhod 2 could not be retrieved from the airlock, which was ejected before re-entry.
