Neptune

Shuttle

This picture of Neptune was taken as Voyager 2 flew by in 1989. The colors have been slightly altered to enhance details. The most obvious details on the surface in this picture includes the Great Dark Spot, a smaller dark spot near the bottom right in the dark band, and white clouds which Voyager could observe changing, as well as casting shadows on the lower atmosphere which appears blue.
